Day 3: Bice/Denner, RAAM 2009

Day 3 has had it all, from the rolling hills in Colorado to the treacherous mountainside to the flat lands of New Mexico. ViaSat has endured the struggles that teams try to avoid, an off rider misses his pickup, another has to ride for 40 plus miles and a flat tire, but still nothing seems to phase them.

Andrew Danly was a midst the issues but continued to ride. Small flat planes, steep climbs and crew assistance on water kept the San Diego based lawyer moving. ViaSat even pulled a maneuver straight out of retired Crew Chief, Barry Adsett's playbook, bring on other riders to ease the stretch.

With Danly and Panek off the course to rest up for their next pull, ViaSat transitioned to veteran Larry Bice and rookie Ryan Denner. Both Bice and Denner are using the natural beauty of the new Mexico landscape to their advantage, this section of New Mexico is relatively flat, showcasing the speed and agility of both.
